Is She Qualified for the Job?

From one of those circular e-mails:
In a news conference Deanna Favre announced she will be the starting quarterback for the Packers this coming Sunday.

Deanna asserts that she is qualified to be starting QB because she has spent the past 16 years married to Brett while he played QB for the Packers. During this period of time she became familiar with the definition of a corner blitz, and is now completely comfortable with other terminology of the Packers’ offense.

A survey of Packers’ fans shows that 50% of those polled supported the move.

I'm no Hillary supporter, but come on, she has been a United States Senator for 7 years.

Maybe if Deanna Favre had been a D-II QB for the last 7 years the analogy would be more apt.

Since you like that so much, how about these "hilarious" analogies?

My friend Bob would make a great president since he happened to have a job in New York on 9/11.

My friend Pete had a job in Massachusetts for four years; that makes him an ideal candidate for President.

Jack Bauer would make a great president because he played a person of great seriousness and importance on TV.

Pat Robertson would make a great President; after all he is a minister.

Think these cases fail to be analogous with the obvious actual corresponding candidates? Yep, so do I; and it's for the same reason the Hillary/Favre analogy is so stupid.

No sexism to see here, move along.
