Junk Science in 2006

From JunkScience.com, the “Top Ten Junk Science Moments for 2006.”

It deals with issues such as global warming, trans fats, and the notion that 2006 was going to see a particularly nasty hurricane season.

JunkScience.com, obviously, is not a particularly authoritative source.

But unfortunately, “authoritative sources” may have all kinds of biases, and the Mainstream media are certainly an unreliable source on scientific matters.

Even the BBC has admitted that the media have trafficked in extreme and implausible scenarios regarding “global warming.”

So reading sources critical of the media orthodoxy (which seems to change every few years) can’t hurt.
