George W. Bush Throws Out First Pitch at World Series

We are here to provide an independent, rather skeptical view of events at Marquette University. Comments are enabled on most posts, but extended comments are welcome and can be e-mailed to jmcadams2@juno.com. E-mailed comments will be treated like Letters to the Editor. This site has no official connection with Marquette University. Indeed, when University officials find out about it, they will doubtless want it shut down.

I miss his class and his humility. He never seemed condescending. Barry should take lessons.
I always liked him. I thought he only made one mistake, but it happened to be a big one. Remembering to this country's zeitgeist at the time, I can understand him making it.
Gotta love his swagger, too. Rockets a pitch in there, nonchalant.
Really gracious, too. If you notice Nolan Ryan says, "Where do you want me? Behind the plate?" I mighta been like, "It's not Barbara Bush throwin it, Nolan."
I will give you that G-Dub was a likable guy, and a better communicator than is often given credit for. He did some things right. That said, overall I do not miss him from a policy perspective (but I suppose this would be expect coming from a Liberal)
