Is Obama a Keynesian? Views From the “Rally for Sanity”
Labels: Barack Obama, Rally for Sanity
We are here to provide an independent, rather skeptical view of events at Marquette University. Comments are enabled on most posts, but extended comments are welcome and can be e-mailed to jmcadams2@juno.com. E-mailed comments will be treated like Letters to the Editor. This site has no official connection with Marquette University. Indeed, when University officials find out about it, they will doubtless want it shut down.

Ignorance and illiteracy... What a dangerous combination.
And this video is evidence of what precisely? That there are uninformed people at a rally? That's hardly a shocking revelation.
I assume, coming from this blog, the message is that liberals are ignorant or that they are hypocrites for damning birthers when they are just as silly themselves. Or something like that.
Are you familiar with the problems of argument by anecdote, which you rely on absurdly often on this blog?
Are you familiar with the fallacy of hasty generalization?
The most frequent kind of argument I find on this blog is some variant of: Liberals say X, but I once heard about some liberal (or at least someone I think is liberal) who said the opposite of X, so these liberals are hypocrites.
Alternately, you often argue: Some liberal I once heard about was intolerant, or ignorant, or whatever, so, therefore, all liberals are ignorant, or intolerant, etc..
You really must do better than this. You cannot find some example here or there and make a sweeping claim about liberals (a group of which you never clearly define and seem quite confused about) from it. That is just sheer mud slinging and name calling.
Try genuine reflection and rational argumentation for once in your life please. After all, this is what you are supposed to do as an academic.
Hey, Critical Thinker,
Don't get so bent out of shape.
You've seen similar stuff from people who wanted to make people at a Tea Party or NASCAR race look like idiots.
Turn about is fair pley.
