We are here to provide an independent, rather skeptical view of events at Marquette University. Comments are enabled on most posts, but extended comments are welcome and can be e-mailed to jmcadams2@juno.com. E-mailed comments will be treated like Letters to the Editor.
This site has no official connection with Marquette University. Indeed, when University officials find out about it, they will doubtless want it shut down.
Previously you compared liberals' preference for a higher minimum wage to conservatives denial of anthropogenic climate change. Your point was that both are in opposition to expert opinion. I believe you recanted this view when confronted with the fact that many more economists support the minimum wage than you had imagined (because you are happy to live in a hermetic world of only exposing yourself to articles in the conservative bubble). My question for you is if you can identify a single issue where liberals are opposed to mainstream scientific consensus the way conservatives oppose the consensus from climate scientists. Even this video acknowledges that global warming is the consensus among scientists.
