What Organizations Supported Fighting Bob Fest?

From the official Fighting Bob blog, a list of organizations that had booths at Fighting Bob Fest -- a big group grope of leftists held this past weekend in Baraboo.

Some are surprising, and some might be if you haven’t been paying much attention to U.S. politics.

First, what isn’t surprising: all the usual suspects like the Sierra Club, Planned Parenthood, NARAL, Americans United for Separation of Church and State and the Wisconsin Green Party.

Then, there are organizations that claim to be nonpartisan, but it’s pretty obvious to anybody paying attention that they aren’t: Amnesty International and the League of Women Voters of Wisconsin.

Likewise, the Madison Capital Times was there. While most newspapers claim to be neutral and objective, they are not bothering to conceal their leftist biases, sponsoring (for example) a speech by inflammatory anti-Iraq War British M.P. George Galloway.

We actually think it’s a bit refreshing to find a newspaper that proudly proclaims its biases, rather than making a claim to objectivity. We wish CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN and PBS would do the same.

Then there some rather unsavory organizations like the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom (a Communist front group during the Cold War) and the Freedom from Religion Foundation (no blather about freedom of religion here).

But the wildest group to find there was:

Libertarian Party of Wisconsin

What were they thinking? These folks aren’t libertarians.
