Perhaps a [re] fresher on How Feminism Works: http://shakespearessister.blogspot.com/2008/05/how-feminism-works.html

And a look into how feminism is working:

Defending women from sexist attacks in the media is one way Feminism Works. Defending Sarah Palin from sexist attacks in the media is one way Feminism Works. Do you understand?

Are there any real-life examples to support this cartoon? I do not plan on voting for the McCain-Palin ticket, but as a feminist would never attack Palin on the grounds of gender. The definition of feminism kind of prohibits that.

Kind of like the liberals who throw Oreo cookies at black conservatives.

Check with your fellow feminists. Many of them are saying Palin should be at home with her kids rather than running for office.

Many are saying she's a "bad mother" because of her daughter's indiscretions.

Many are saying she's not a "real" woman because she's not pro-abortion.

The old definition of feminism would prohibit that. Today's radical feminism only gives women one option: total agreement or condemnation.

Which is why I'm not, and never will be, a feminist.

Georgetown University professor Deborah Tannen, who has written best-selling books on gender differences, said she agrees with complaints that Palin skeptics — including prominent voices in the news media — have crossed a line by speculating about whether the Alaska governor is neglecting her family in pursuit of national office.

“What we’re dealing with now, there’s nothing subtle about it,” said Tannen. “We’re dealing with the assumption that child-rearing is the job of women and not men. Is it sexist? Yes.”
