The “Buzz” on the New York Times Wal-Mart/Blogger Story

A nice summary from The PR Linker.

If there is a bottom line, it’s that anti-Wal-Mart reporter Michael Barbaro is trying to spin as sinister something that’s just normal public relations.

Somehow, he seems to want to hold bloggers to higher standards of disclosure than have ever prevailed in print journalism.

Yet it’s quite obvious that the Times often works off tips and leads supplied by liberal and leftist activist groups, not to speak of leaks from people who have a clear (usually liberal) political agenda.
