Great Blog on the Duke Rape Case

Durham-in-Wonderland is a blog from Brooklyn College Professor KC Johnson. It’s quite critical of the prosecution of lacrosse team members for rape, and especially of the lynch mob of politically correct faculty who have been demanding the scalps of the accused players.

The politically correct professors are known as the “Group of 88.” All of them signed a statement that essentially assumed the guilt of the lacrosse players.

Among the more interesting posts:

• An account of a how a politically correct professor (one Kim Curtis) almost certainly gave two Duke lacrosse players grades of “F” because of her own political biases. The grades were overturned, although Duke dodged the bias issue by claiming that the “F” grades were the result of a “calculation error” — one which just happened to afflict the two lacrosse players in the class, and nobody else.
• Duke’s Economics Department has decisively distanced themselves from the politically correct “Group of 88” and welcomed all Duke students — including specifically lacrosse players — into their classes.

One has to wonder: how many Marquette faculty would act like the “Group of 88” did, and how many like the Duke Economics Department?
