GOP3.COM: Marquette is Associated Press’s Best Friend
One can only wince at a list, produced by Daniel Suhr of the GOP3 blog, of the recent cases where Marquette has gotten major national and international media attention.
The administration here seems to have a positive talent for getting bad publicity.
We have to hope, for the good of the University, that there is truth in the old adage that “all publicity is good publicity.”
Actually, for the sake of the institution, we would like this to be true. We wouldn’t really want, for example, a lot of parents to decide not to send their kids to Marquette.
On the other hand, if some of the administrators around here are made very uncomfortable, or (to be frank) lose their jobs, we wouldn’t be at all disturbed.
